5. “PROVIDE”

“PROVIDE”的一般意思是：

“提供”、“供應” 、“供給”

例如：

(i)       Please“provide” details of the working plan.

請“提供”工作計劃的詳情。

(ii)     The hostel“provides” only breakfast.

該旅館只“供應”早餐。

(iii)   Sheep“provide” us with wool.

羊“供給”我們羊毛。

在法律語言中，“provide”的意思包括：訂明、規定、訂定、惟/但是、前提。

例如：

訂明

The Schedule“provides” for the directors' duty to prepare a business review.

該附表“訂明”董事須擬備一份業務回顧。

規定

The Listing Rules“provide” that the shares repurchase of a company must be approved by an ordinary resolution in a general meeting of shareholders.

《上市規則》“規定”公司的股份回購必須在股東大會上以普通決議案通過。
